A Penny for Your Thoughts (pt. 1)

You never leave me nor forsake me

Even when I forsake You.

You are always for me, not against me

Regardless if I believe it to be true.

Your ways are higher, Your plans are bigger,

Far better than all my wildest dreams.

In all my waiting, through all my aching

You've taught me my wants aren't really my needs.

Sometimes, on the hard days, I still stand at odds with You

Doubting, questioning, wondering if Your promises are really true.

In those moments, You still hold me, as Father, Savior, Redeemer, Friend,

And you're always quick to remind me You'll be faithful to the end.

You know all my steps before I take them

You know where, and when, and how

I'll make all my mistakes before I make them

Even though it's hard to comprehend right now.

Lord You love me at my weakest

You're compassionate & kind

Of all the people in the world,

How blessed I am to call you mine!

Thank You Jesus for your mercy!

Thank You Lord for the blood

You so willingly poured out for me

In the greatest display of love.

You are Alpha & Omega.

The beginning & the end.

You are Creator, Maker, Sustainer

Of the world you roamed within.

How You still love me God,

I'll never begin to understand.

Who would give their life for someone?

What kind of God would become man?

Yet, in all my wanderings

And times I've gone astray,

You've met me in the middle

And held my hand along the way.

God you are so good to me

This I know is true

Even without all the answers,

It's so sweet to trust in You.
